Coronation Street has recast one of its major characters, and they are set to appear on screen later this week.
The role of Harry Platt will now be played by young actor Carter-J Murphy, with his debut set to air on Wednesday, December 11.
Carter-J made his screen debut earlier this year in the new Robbie Williams biopic, Better Man, playing a younger version of the singer himself.
Speaking about the recast, David Platt actor Jack P Shepherd said: ‘They’ve just recast the lad who plays Harry. Carter is very, very confident.’
The role of Harry was previously shared by twins Freddie and Isaac Rhodes, who have been on screen since 2017.
Harry was born in 2016 and is the son of Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and villain Callum Logan.
Callum was killed by Kylie Platt before Harry was born, and his body was buried underneath the annex at No.8.
After Harry’s birth, the body was discovered, and Sarah was hospitalised for postnatal psychosis, having believed that Callum was still alive.
Carter-J makes his debut as the youngest member of the Platt family amid plenty of drama.
The family are currently unaware that David and Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson) are hiding large sums of money, which David stole from notorious gangster Harvey Gaskell.
This week, the men are left panicked when Harry emerges with a fistful of the cash – will they be able to cover their tracks?
