Express Media Group, 1Link Private Limited, and EssenceMediacom (GroupM) have partnered to launch a new podcast series aimed at providing valuable insights into the latest developments in the payment industry.

The 12-episode series will feature engaging discussions with industry leaders from banks, financial institutions, and FinTech companies, focusing on emerging trends in the digital payment landscape.

The series will be produced in collaboration with the Express network, which is celebrated for its outstanding content creation and distribution capabilities. It will cover key topics such as advancements in debit card technology, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and other critical aspects of the evolving payment ecosystem.

The announcement was made during a special event held at 1Link’s office in Karachi, which was attended by senior officials from both organizations.

Najeeb Agrawala, CEO of 1Link, highlighted the importance of the collaboration, saying, “This partnership represents a significant step forward in educating the public on essential financial topics. Our podcast will address critical issues such as cybersecurity, banking fraud, and the role of technology in digital payments.”

Seema Kaswani, Assistant General Manager of Marcom at 1Link, explained the primary goal of the podcast series, highlighting the importance of raising awareness about digital transactions and financial security. She noted the involvement of key stakeholders like banks, card issuers, regulators, and industry leaders in making the series an invaluable resource for the public.

Maliha Anwar Khan, Chief Commercial Officer at 1Link, shared details about an exciting initiative set to launch in 2024 — a unique payment scheme designed for women.

The scheme will address the specific financial needs of women, offering benefits such as savings, insurance, and digital payment solutions. “This initiative aims to empower women financially by providing them with tools that support savings and secure transactions,” said Khan.

Ovais Ilyas, General Manager at EssenceMediacom, expressed his support for the series, saying, “This podcast will offer invaluable insights into the world of banking and finance, with key decision-makers sharing their expertise on vital financial matters.”

Azfar Mahmood Nizami, Executive Director of Marketing & Sales at Express Media Group, also stressed the importance of the series, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with 1Link on this project. The podcast series will play a crucial role in enhancing public understanding of financial matters and digital transactions.”

The podcast series will be available across multiple platforms, including Express News and Express Entertainment TV channels as well as on social media. The aim is to reach a broad audience and improve financial literacy in Pakistan, helping listeners navigate the rapidly evolving digital economy.

In addition to the podcast series, 1Link plans to introduce a groundbreaking payment solution for women in 2024. This initiative further reflects the company’s commitment to promoting inclusive financial solutions for Pakistan’s diverse population.

This collaboration between Express Media Group, 1Link, and EssenceMediacom marks a significant milestone in promoting financial education and awareness, with the podcast series set to make a lasting impact on financial literacy in Pakistan.
