A survey of 11,000 women affected by the state pension increase shows a 24 per cent rise in support for Nigel Farage.

Meanwhile, 82 per cent of 1950s-born women say Labour “does not care” about them.

Among the women surveyed by the Waspi campaign, 13 per cent say that they back the Tories while just 7 per cent support Labour.

It comes as fury continues to grow over Labour’s decision to withhold compensation from 3.5 million women who lost state pension payments when the retirement age was raised.

The Lib Dems have pledged to force a Commons vote on the issue in January when MPs return to Parliament form the Christmas break.

Waspi campaign chair Angela Madden said: “The findings show the stark electoral price of Labour’s betrayal of Waspi women to ignore the findings of the independent Parliamentary Ombudsman.

“With overwhelming numbers of furious Labour MPs backing fair compensation for Waspi women, the Prime Minister must urgently change course and deliver on his previous commitments.”

Mr Farage said he would be “happy” to help Britain’s incoming ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson, win over Donald Trump.

The Reform leader offered to act as a “bridge” between the pair.

He said: “Our relationship with the USA is by far our most important. If it helped the national interest I would be happy to act as a bridge.”

Labour grandee Lord Mandelson has been made Britain’s new ambassador to the US.
