Experts warn the inability, or possible lack of desire to push family discipline towards the Walses has caused many to speculate that King Charle is no longer in control of the monarchy.

That chat touched on the Walses’ no-show for the lunch and in it he said, “It is another example of the couple’s growing confidence when it comes to challenging some long-established traditions which they are widely believed to consider tiresome.”
While “Charles would have liked them to be there, and the fact that he was either unwilling or unable to insist on it shows his inability to maintain family discipline,” Mr Skyes also went as far as to say.
After all, “You can’t imagine anyone missing it when Prince Philip was around”.
